another post from the vietnam newspaper
this time i'll really try to touch your hearts

john(not his real name) was hit
while playing ball with his friends
a friend accidentally kicked a ball that was out of the playing field back into the field
the thing is
his friend didnt see where he was kicking
and the ball hit john on his face
his right side of the face to be specific
the impact was great
and it left a tinging sensation on his face
a ringing sound in his ears
the it hurt well after the hit
that night
his mom applied some cream
it was later found to be expired and wrongly applied
the cream was no longer effective
worse still it was for the wrong symptoms
even worse
it was bacteria infested and rotting
remember it was expired
it worsened his face
his friends came to see him
what are friends for
that friend apologised
john could only look away
not saying anything
sorry cant help his face which was developing weird symptoms
he went to the doctors
the doctor prescribed another type of cream
remember my last post about doctors prescribing wrong medicine?
well
this new cream once again worsened
john died from gangrene of the face a few weeks later
he died a sad boy

immagine if you were his friends
his ball playing friends
the friend who kicked the ball that hit his face
his mother
or the doctor

who will you pity most

john wif physical hurt all the time
emotional damage
his friends who lost a good friend
the friend who kicked the ball
who was guilty of his death
his mother
the ignorant fool or the blind lover
the doctor
the asshole

i feel sorry for john
but theres no point in doing so
the damage is done
and i shouldnt too
afterall hes a rotten face
literally

too many kids in vietnam dying
too little done to prevent crying
